Honour in the Cannes for Indy proprietor


News that Sir Anthony O’Reilly was named media person of the year at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival was not widely reported, but it did merit a 500-word report in one national newspaper.

The report noted that the honour is ‘an indication of the status of both INM and Sir Anthony within the international advertising industry’and that INM was ‘one of the world’s leading media companies”.

No prizes for guessing the name of the newspaper in question – The Independent, proprietor Anthony O’Reilly.
