Hockey star takes to the airways

By Press Gazette

BBC Radio Leicester has signed Jo Mould for Sportstime, a new Saturday lunchtime sports show starting this weekend.

Former Olympic hockey star and Fyffes Leicester captain Mould will present the show, which will feature sport news and interviews from around the country, alongside sports presenter Jon Barber.

“I’m delighted to be a part of the sports team at BBC Radio Leicester and I hope I can bring a different perspective to sports broadcasting,” Mould said.

“Being live on the radio each weekend is the closest anyone can come to actually experiencing the adrenalin rush of competition so I can’t wait to get started.”

Liam McCarthy, managing editor of BBC Radio Leicester, said: “Jo is an excellent addition to our sports team. Sportstime will continue our tradition of superb sports broadcasting.”
