We've had podcasts, vodcasts and even something called a bluecast – now the Daily Telegraph is launching a World Cup pubcast.
To
compete with the Times's star internet podcast signing of Frank Skinner
and David Baddiel – the Telegraph is to publish a light-hearted daily
pub-style debate.
Well-known Telegraph names such as Henry
Winter, Patrick Barclay, Alan Smith and Tim Rich will be joined by the
likes of comedian Kevin Day, Sir Clement Freud, German comic Henning
When and the actor who played Herr Flick in the TV series ‘Allo, ‘Allo.
Telegraph
podcast editor Guy Ruddle said: "Arguing about football is what pubs
are for. It seemed only right to bring the best football brains from
the world of journalism and deploy them to the frontline for the
duration of the World Cup".
