The Press Complaints Commission has received a number of complaints from Heather Mills, claiming she was harassed by journalists and that reports about her were inaccurate and invaded her privacy.
A spokesman for Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife said that, following her divorce. Mills felt she had spent enough time with lawyers and would rather seek an “amicable solution”.
Mills finally settled her divorce from McCartney in March this year, when she was awarded more than £24m after seeking £125m.
Last October she said on GMTV that journalists had “called me a whore, a gold-digger, a fantasist, a liar, the most unbelievably hurtful things, and I’ve stayed quiet for my daughter”.
