Health service finance probe wins accolade

Eastern Daily Press journalist Mark Nicholls has won the consumer
award in the financing healthcare category at this year’s Norwich Union
Medical Journalists’ Awards The accolade was for his investigation into
how Norfolk’s health services had slumped £30 million into the red.

Brady from the Birmingham Post picked up the consumer newcomer award
for a feature about a couple who raised money on eBay for a transplant
procedure which allows patients to receive organs from people with
different blood groups.
