Ground-breaking golf magazine Golf Punk will be hitting the
newsstands monthly from February, following industry praise for tapping
into a new audience of golf fans.
Launched as a bi-monthly title
in March last year by Tim Southwell, cofounder of Loaded, the mag aims
to be “a celebration of all things great about golf”, and has included
interviews with famous names ranging from Tiger Woods to Nicky Wire of
The Manic Street Preachers.
Pandora George, head of media at
publisher KYN, said: ” Golf Punk is responsible for injecting a bit of
muchneeded fun into the greatest game on earth.
“In the last year
there has been a revolution in the world of golf. Vivienne Westwood is
doing her own range of golf accessories and celebrities such as Ewan
McGregor and Cameron Diaz are seen regularly on the golf course.
“Add to this the rise in popularity of urban golf and you can see how the culture of golf is rapidly changing.”
