A former GMTV reporter “made a very substantial contribution to her dismissal”, judges have ruled in a disability discrimination case against the ITV breakfast show.
Louise Port sued GMTV for £500,000, saying she was sacked from her job in a row with bosses over having epileptic fits triggered by working nights.
But judges in a Croydon court said she lied to her employer about aspects of her ill health and refused to let the respondent clarify her medical position with doctors.
According to a source quoted in the Pandora section of The Independent, Port could now expect to get just £450 compensation.
