Specialist magazine publisher Future has said it expects to report an operating loss at its US titles in the six months to the end of March, following a dispute with distributors and wholesalers.
Distribution of some of the group’s newsstand magazines was disrupted in February and March. Future said the financial impact was in the region of £1m. But it said the business was expected to return to profitability for the full year to the end of September.
UK profits in the six months to 31 March are expected to be in line with the previous half. The group’s half-year results are expected on 20 May.
