From trainee to editor in six years

Former Wiltshire Times trainee Holly Robinson has made it to editor in just six years, writes Dominic Ponsford.

Robinson, 28, was news editor at the Wiltshire Times and has just been appointed editor of the Bridport News and Lyme Regis News in Dorset. Both papers are owned by Newsquest.

She studied law at University College London before taking a part-time City & Guilds course in journalism at Chippenham College.

She said: “It’s already a really good newspaper and I am just hoping to move it forward.”

The Bridport News and Lyme Regis News have a combined circulation of 10,983
