Four more titles go in IPC mags sell-off

By Dominic Ponsford

IPC has announced the sale of four more of its more specialist titles: Aeroplane, MiniWorld, Ships Monthly and Park and Holiday Caravan.

They have been bought by Kent and Cambridge-based Kelsey Publishing which last week acquired another IPC title – Cage and Aviary Bird.

Aeroplane deals with the heritage of powered flight, MiniWorld is dedicated to Mini-car enthusiasts and Ships Monthly is aimed at both enthusiasts and maritime professionals. Kelsey is buying the titles and taking on their staffs with immediate effect.

IPC Inspire managing director Paul Williams said: ‘Aeroplane, MiniWorld, Ships Monthly and Park Home are all excellent examples of focused and successful specialist brands, delivering to their passionate readers every issue. Kelsey – as one of the leading publishers of specialist titles in the UK – is the ideal home for them. The teams across all four titles have done a superb job while the strategic review has run its course, and I’d like to personally thank them and wish them all the very best for the future.”

A strategic review is seeing IPC sell all its niche and specialist titles. This week it sold Web User to Dennis Publishing and last week it sold Guitar and Bass magazine to Anthem Publishing.

Press Gazette understands IPC is in advanced talks with Vitality Publishing over the sale of Loaded, Superbike, Prediction and HiFi News magazines.
