By Dominic wireposts

The Sun today reports the sad news that former assistant editor for the paper Steve Read has died at his home in the New Forest, Hampshire, aged 54.

According to The Sun, Steve – who is originally from Nuneaton – spent 23 years with the paper before leaving to run his own cruise holidays website. In recent years he has worked as a freelance journalist, often writing for The Sun, as well as editing I Love Cruises.

Sun editor Dominic Mohan is quoted in today’s paper saying: “Steve was a first-class journalist and will be sadly missed.”
