Former Falkirk Herald weekly photographer Bob Wallace has died from cancer aged 65, only 18 months after retiring. He had worked for the Herald for 11 years, and for parent company Johnston Press for 36 years.
Wallace began his career in newspapers as a compositor and linotype operator, before moving into photography.
He was the first staff photographer on the Livingston Post and Linlithgowshire Journal and Gazette.
Shortly before his retirement, he was presented with an award from Princess Anne to mark his service to Strathcarron Hospice.
