First glimpse of Dublin Daily

By Press Gazette

This is what the Dublin Daily will look like when it launches next week, writes Jean Morgan.

To be published five days a week, Monday to Friday, the 64-page mid-market tabloid has a target circulation of 25,000 for the first year.

The launch marks the first investment outside the UK – a 20 per cent stake – by regional publisher Archant, which has the Eastern Daily Press and the Hampstead & Highgate Express in its stable.

Dublin Daily will offer local, national and international news, sport and features. Its target audience is readers aged 18 to 35 who live, work or socialise in Dublin.

Over the first three years, the paper has budgeted £6m for promotional activity. The target for circulation after three years is 40,000.

It aims to fill a gap – Dublin is the only European capital without its own dedicated daily.
