BBC Radio 4’s flagship investigative programme, File On 4, has won best radio programme at this year’s Voice of the Listener and Viewer (VLV) Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.
Since its first investigation in 1977 – an examination of governmental wage policy – File on 4 has won more than 40 awards, including three Sony Golds.
The other nominees for the category comprised four Radio 4 programmes, including The Today Programme, and BBC Radio 3’s In Tune.
The awards are nominated and voted for by listeners and viewers rather than professional peers, and are sponsored by the Voice of the Listener Trust.
