Company has appointed Claire Askew as its new features editor.
Askew, who held the same post on Shape, will take over next week from former features editor Lindsay Frankel, who moved up to become deputy editor. Askew’s role will involve editing and commissioning features with an emphasis on real life.
Company editor Victoria White said of Askew: “She’s really got the Company vibe.
“Features have been a real strength for us. They have definitely contributed to our sales increases.”
Askew will also be able to draw on her experience of health issues on Shape, as sexual health is key to Company’s editorial, White added.
Askew’s appointment coincides with that of Georgina Plant, who has joined the team as senior sub-editor from sister title Country Living.
