Eighteen Trinity staff face the chop

Trinity Mirror has begun consultation over making 18 staff redundant at its regional newspapers division HQs in Liverpool and London.

The company said the staff affected covered a range of functions in the business. The proposed move comes as Trinity Mirror chief executive Sly Bailey nears the end of a strategic review looking at all aspects of the company.
