Eight new journalism jobs found today

A B2B publishing house is looking for a reporter – commodities (£20-26K). You will work on its weekly print title and daily online news service as well as write analytical feature pieces. You should know at least one foreign language. Previous experience in commodities, finance or business journalism would be an advantage. Job location: London.

Future publishing is looking for an online production editor for its film website. You will assist in the organisation, planning and implementation of editorial work flow, CMS/reviews and database management. You will sub-edit and produce copy to house style and also have the opportunity to produce and publish your own film-related copy and A/V materials. Job location: London. Closing date: 7 October.

BBC Gardeners’ World magazine is looking for an editorial assistant. You will be responsible for researching the material, writing copy as well as subbing your own and other’s work and layouts. You will work across the brand including the magazine, website and external events. You should have a horticultural honours degree or equivalent. Practical experience in a publishing environment is desirable. Job location: London. Closing date: 9 October.

BBC Gardeners’ World magazine is looking for a features co-ordinator. You will be responsible for executing features, commissioning, researching and writing as required, as well as coordinating photo shoots, liaising with external contributors and subbing pages through to completion. You will have previous experience within consumer magazines and knowledge of the horticultural industry. Job location: London. Closing date: 9 October.

Fabulous magazine is looking for a deputy chief sub-editor. You will be confident with the magazine’s tone of voice and be able to make all copy sparkle. You will also write clever headlines, snappy sells and funny captions. You should have at least two years experience as a sub-editor or senior sub-editor on a consumer magazine or newspaper supplement. Job location: London. Closing date: 16 October.

The Unquote journal is looking for a sub-editor with a keen eye for detail and ability to work within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for laying out the story on the page and writing headings as well as the overall page design. Job location: London.

UKFast, a B2B hosting provider is hiring a features writer. This is a key position within the team and not suitable for a junior/first jobber. You will write articles, investigations, news analysis and special reports. You will be an experienced features writer with strong editorial and proof reading skills. Job location: North-West UK.

You will research and write online editorial content, generate and analyse online surveys and work with the editorial and research team. You should have good knowledge of current HR priorities and employment law framework along with strong research and writing skills. Job location: Sutton, Surrey.
