Edinburgh Festival newspaper Three Weeks will review more than 1,000 shows this year.
The paper has recruited a team of 30 young journalists from universities and colleges across the UK to write the reviews, which will appear in four issues. Two have already been published and the other editions will appear on 14 and 21 August.
All of the reviews will also be posted on the paper’s website, www.threeweeks.co.uk, which will be updated daily.
The paper says it will been seeking out unknown artists unlikely to be featured in mainstream press coverage.
Paul Gudgin, director of the Fringe, added: “Three Weeks offers all companies a brilliant chance of getting a review and offers young journalists at the beginning of their careers a ?rst step on the ladder.”
