The Lincolnshire Echo has expanded its editorial team at a senior level by creating the post of assistant editor.
The evening paper’s design editor Martin Mammatt has been promoted to fill the position. One of his main responsibilities is to produce a publishing plan across all the departments to help with forward planning.
Mammatt explained: “This will be a wide-ranging and fulfilling role. There are plenty of different strands we will be pulling together in the publishing plan to get much better co-ordination between all the paper’s departments and throughout the whole group.”
Mammatt joined the Echo as a sports reporter in 1999.
