The deputy editor and features editor are amongst a number of editorial staff to have left the real-life weekly magazine, Love It!.
Deputy Caroline Reid left the Hubert Burda Media UK title last week and features head Steve Tooze left this week, the company has confirmed.
Part time associate editor Nick Harding has also left the title along with celebrity editor John Marrs, who is understood to have left a number of weeks ago, as is a junior staff member.
Deputy features editor Kelly Ellis is also about to leave her role for a move into book publishing.
Editor Siobhan Wykes, who was appointed in January, last year following Burda’s purchase of the magazine from News International, is not amongst the staff to have left the magazine.
Luke Patten, chief executive of Hubert Burda Media UK, told Press Gazette that a new showbiz head would soon be joining the magazine along with a new features director. The company would advertise the vacant deputy editor post in the coming weeks, he added.
Audit Bureau of Circulations figures released last month revealed that average weekly sales of Love It! had fallen by 16.5 per cent year-on-year to 283,379 in the second half of last year.
A significant TV advertising budget has been allocated to Love It! for summer 2010, Patten added, and the company was currently inviting pitches from a short list of media agencies to take the project forward.
Patten said: “We always look to promote our magazines, Love It! is a strong title and a good performing title for us.”
