Southern Daily Echo deputy editor Dave King has been announced as the new editor of Newsquest-owned daily the Swindon Advertiser.
He is to replace Mark Waldron who was named in June as the new editor of The News in Portsmouth.
King, 44, has three children and is currently a magistratee in Portsmouth. He is a keen sportsman and has run three London marathons
His start date has yet to be confirmed and Pauline Leighton is to be acting editor in the interim between Waldron leaving and King starting.
