Crain Communications has closed Business Insurance Europe, its London-based title, blaming the “worldwide economic crisis”.
The magazine, published twice a month, had a Europe-wide circulation of 14,913. A year’s subscription was €150 (£133).
A spokeswoman confirmed there had been redundancies, but would not say how many.
The magazine’s content will now be covered in Business Insurance, Crain’s US-based title.
Company chairman Keith Crain said: “The worldwide economic crisis is causing everyone to make difficult, dramatic decisions.
“In tough times, it is important to stay focused. We will continue to cover the European market aggressively through the resources of Business Insurance.”
The company has also closed Automotive News Europe, a Munich-based English-language title.
