Business publisher Centaur has issued an upbeat trading update to the City reporting a return to revenue growth across its portfolio in the first four months of this year.
The publisher of titles including The Lawyer and Marketing Week reported a loss before tax of £1.7m in the last six months of 2009 and revenues down year on year across the business.
But today it said that most of the group had achieved year on year revenue growth so far this year.
In the publishing side of the business it reported today that advertising revenue growth had accelerated in the four months to the end of April.
Overall advertising revenues grew by 5 per cent during this period, led by a 20 per cent increase in recruitment advertising. Online advertising increased by 11 per cent and represented 27 per cent of all advertising revenue, Centaur said.
