Celebrity chef wins employment tribunal gagging order

By andrew

A celebrity chef is reported to have won a gagging order yesterday preventing publication of a dispute with two former employees.

The ‘internationally renowned” chef is being taken to an employment tribunal in London but the press is forbidden from identitying either the chef or the claimants.

The Telegraph reports that one of those suing is a female accountant claiming unfair dismissal and sexual discrimination.

The other is a former chief executive suing for unfair dismissal, age discrimination and non-payment of wages.

The Daily Mail report on the same story claims ‘no reasons have been given for the gagging order”, and that it was supported by both the chef and the female employee.

Judge Elizabeth Potter granted the interim order at the Central London Employment Tribunal yesterday.
