The British Society of Magazine Editors is inviting entries for the 2003 BSME Awards.
This year’s categories include business and professional (weekly and non-weekly), entertainment, contract (with either a business or consumer readership), general interest and current affairs. Special awards will also be presented for launch of the year, the Fiona Macpherson new editor of the year, innovation of the year, the Mark Boxer Award and editor’s editor.
The panel of judges includes BSME chairwoman Rachel Shattock, editor-in-chief at John Brown Citrus Publishing; Linda Kelsey, freelance editor and consultant and a former editor of Cosmopolitan and She; Janice Turner, consultant editor and a former Real and That’s Life editor; and Trevor Beattie, chairman and creative director at TBWA/London.

The closing date for entries is Monday, 1 September, 2003. The winners will be announced at an awards dinner at the London Hilton on Monday, 24 November, 2003.
