Best editor moves across to Reveal magazine

By Dominic Ponsford

Jane Ennis, editor of Best magazine, has been appointed as the new editor of celebrity weekly, Reveal.

Ennis will move over later this month to take up her new role – both magazines are published by the National Magazine Company. A search is already underway to find her successor at the helm of Best.

Her appointed follows an announcement in August that Reveal editor Michael Butcher was standing down from the post he’d held for four years to care for a sick relative.

Butcher will work alongside Ennis for a week prior to his departure at the end of the month.

Ennis rejoined Best magazine in April. She had previously worked at Best as deputy editor and features editor in the mid-90s before becoming editor of IPC Media’s Now magazine in 1996 and taking it to the top of the celebrity market.

She has also worked as the editor of First magazine and as a magazine and newspaper consultant, which included relaunching the Daily Mail Weekend magazine.
