The Belfast Telegraph has teamed up with The Wireless Group, owner of talkSPORT, to bid for a new FM radio licence for Belfast.
Independent News and Media, owner of the Telegraph, has announced that the joint bid with TWG will be chaired by Chris Gibson OBE, who is one of orthern Ireland’s leading businessmen and a former managing director of ICI in Ireland.
The licence was advertised by media regulator Ofcom on 8 September and all bids are due to be submitted by 8 December.
The station is set to transmit to the City of Belfast and surrounding areas with a potential audience of 750,000
