BBC Magazines has secured the contract to produce a magazine for the Royal Opera House. About the House is aimed at keeping existing members up-to-date with events, while trying to attract new members.
Emma Roach, former managing editor of Gramophone magazine, is editor.
About the House will be published five times a year and mailed direct to more than 30,000 opera enthusiasts. The first issue is due out in mid-June.
The BBC published a souvenir one-shot magazine in 1999 to mark the reopening of the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London.
