BBC promises 'warts and all' Olympics coverage

The BBC has pledged to televise any political protests that might take place during the Beijing Olympics this summer, despite alleged attempts by the Chinese authorities to censor coverage.

The corporation’s head of major sports events, Dave Gordon, told the Daily Telegraph that covering the Games was proving even more difficult than the Moscow Olympics in 1980.

“We have to cover the Olympics warts and all,” he said.
