BBC claims increase in opinion formers watching BBC News 24

By Press Gazette

BBC News 24 is attracting more opinion formers for major breaking news
stories, a BBC survey has claimed this month.
The Opinion Leader Panel was asked when thinking generally about news,
where they would turn to first for news on a major national or
international event.
Compared to a similar survey in October 2004 which asked the same
question, the proportion of the panel saying it would turn to BBC News
24 first has increased from 11 per cent to 15 per cent.
Sky News over
the same period of time has dropped from 16 per cent to 13 per cent,
the BBC claims. The panel survey also claims BBC News Online has
increased its appeal from 8 per cent to 32 per cent amongst opinion
formers.
