David Hoad has been appointed director of technology for AP Television News.
Hoad, who was previously head of technology and strategic projects, will now be responsible for all aspects of television technology, development and support in the international television news division of Associated Press.
Hoad replaces Nick Evansky, who has become vice president and director of operations, services and technology.
Since 1994, Hoad has had a key role in all major technology and engineering projects implemented at APTN. He led the design and implementation of AP’s move from an inefficient analogue newsroom to a flexible digital one.
Hoad will remain based in London and joins the team of directors of AP Television News, reporting to chief executive Eric Braun.
