The American version of OK! has its third publisher in just over a year.
Tom Morrissey, who left Entertainment Weekly after 10 years when he was demoted from publisher to associate publisher in a sweeping Time Inc reorganisation, insisted he was not leaving Entertainment Weekly because of problems at Time Inc.
"I left because I am joining a magazine where I really feel I can make a difference," he said.
Morrissey replaces Melanie Danks who has been holding the job since last September, but is now returning to the UK.
OK! which struggled at first to make inroads in the US market until it cut its price is now reported to have a paid circulation of just over 450,000 in the first quarter of this year.
