Actress Kate Beckinsale has had a privacy complaint rejected by the Press Complaints Commission.
She contacted the PCC following an article in the Daily Mail that included photos of her kissing a new boyfriend in a public place while her five-yearold daughter Lily looked on.
The article, on 15 April, was headlined: “Mummy’s latest love scene leaves Lily unimpressed.”
Beckinsale argued that the piece intruded on her privacy and that of her daughter.
But the commission ruled that Beckinsale was in a public place so had no expectation of privacy.
It noted that images of Lily had been published previously without any complaint from her mother and that the new article contained no private details about the child.
