Work/life award for FT features team

By Press Gazette

The features team at the Financial Times has won the 2004 media award by The Conference Board’s European Work-Life and Diversity Council.

The European Work-Life and Diversity Council is a membership group of senior diversity executives who meet regularly to identify emerging issues in the work/life and diversity fields. The council discusses appropriate business responses and benchmarks how regional and global companies adapt their policies to different cultures and national legislative frameworks.

The judges commented: “It was felt the FT team best satisfied the award criteria for their sustained efforts to promote work/life balance, for their multinational exposure and for the breadth of topics covered.”

The award goes to Andrew Davis and Paul Solman, Alison Maitland, management writer, and Michael Skapinker, management columnist.

The award was due to be presented to Maitland this week at The Conference Board’s European Work-Life and Diversity Conference in Copenhagen.
