Personal Trainer for Women magazine has appointed a new editor.
Graham Meikleham takes over from commercial director and cofounder Christina Neal, who has been standing in as editorial director.
Meikleham began his career as a freelance sub in 1988, working across women’s glossies such as Marie Claire, Best, Bella and Me. He later worked at Haymarket and Sterling Publications before freelancing as a sub and writer.
He was also freelance deputy editor of Aromatherapy & Natural Health.
Meikleham said: “As an experienced journalist, a gym user and keep fit enthusiast, I feel I can bring a down-toearth consumer viewpoint to the magazine.”
he added that he wants the title to take in the more psychological and motivational aspects of fitness.
His appointment coincides with the Vitality Publishing-owned magazine increasing its frequency from bimonthly to nine issues a year.
