Vickery to head launches at Hachette Filipacchi

Sarah Vickery, publisher of Sugar, tvhits! and ELLEgirl, has been promoted to business development manager at Hachette Filipacchi.

Vickery, who joined the company in April, will still oversee the teen titles, but will also be responsible for launches and acquisitions.

She is a former corporate business development director of Emap Digital and financial director of the Emap Elan Network. Chairman Kevin Hand said: “Sarah has a very impressive track record of success in the magazine business. She will have a key role to play in helping Hachette Filipacchi UK achieve its goals for growth.”

Simon Bell has joined Hachette as director of marketing from Sky digital music channel Music Choice. Bell was previously head of strategic marketing for BBC Two programming and then BBC One. He joined Music Choice from FT.com in 2001.
