Two new publishers at Archant

By Press Gazette

By Sarah Boden

Archant Life has appointed two new publishers for some of its county magazine titles.

Glenn Mabey, who was managing director of Trinity Publications for two-and-a-half years, will look after Essex Life, Hertfordshire Life and Cambridgeshire Life.

Mabey is a former publisher at United Business Media, where he worked for 12 years. He is replacing Hayley Beach, who left the company earlier this year.

“I am delighted to join a fast-growing business such as Archant Life. The Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire titles have enormous potential and I look forward to working with the team to realise this,” he said.

Anita Barker, head of sales and marketing, has been promoted to publisher of Devon Life, after 18 months at the title.

“Anita has a strong background in sales and marketing as well as significant experience of writing for Devon Life prior to her employment with the magazine. She will take responsibility for the Devon-based magazine team reporting to myself,” said Paul Bates, regional director of Archant Life South West.

In addition, Julian Rees, Devon Life’s publishing manager, has been appointed to the position of operations manager. He spent the past five years with a local printing company before joining the magazine team in December.
