Turner promoted at News and Star

News & Star, Carlisle, deputy editor Nick Turner has been made head of group digital content development for his publisher, CN Group.

His role will focus on integrating online and print operations, furthering citizen journalism content, and sourcing video content throughout the group.

The News & Star was one of the first papers to carry blogs, and picked up Press Gazette's best use of citizen journalism award.

Turner said: "I'm immensely proud of the News & Star's achievement in building up an online audience that generates 2.5 million page impressions a month."
