The Evening Advertiser in Swindon is losing two specialist reporters and its news editor. But the newsroom has been bolstered by the promotion of two reporters to senior level following the latest round of NCE results.

News editor Jim Wildman is to join the Express & Star, Wolverham-pton, as deputy news editor. He follows his predecessor Mark Drew, who is head news editor at Wolverhampton.

Taking over as news editor at the Swindon daily is Catherine Turnbull, who was a working as a sub-editor on the paper and previously worked as news editor on the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Standard.

Moving up to senior reporter level after passing their NCEs are Giles Sheldrick and Alex Emery.
