Travel mag lauch

By Press Gazette

New-generation travel mag Trip launches next month, targeted at
young professionals interested in city breaks and adventure
holidays. The bimonthly A4 glossy, published by The Media Company
Publications, which is based in Edinburgh, is edited by former Closer
deputy editor Aileen Easton. With an initial print run of 60,000 and a
cover price of £3.50, the publishers hope for a settle-down circulation
of more than 40,000.

Publisher Sue Hitchen said the mag was “a
travel mag with a lifestyle element”, intended to be sophisticated and
glamorous. She added: “We’ve researched the travel patterns of the
25-plus age group and have 21 city breaks in the first issue alone,
from Melbourne to Newcastle.”
