Telegraph Media Group has appointed James Hurley to the newly created post of business club editor.
In the new role Hurley, who is joining TMG from Crimson Business, is charged with expanding coverage of business news and debate across The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.
As part of the Business editorial team, his focus will be on developing existing Business Club coverage in print each Tuesday and on Telegraph.co.uk.
Membership of the Telegraph Business Club is free and allows its users, usually employees of small and medium-sized enterprises, to access content which includes case studies with expert comments and video master classes.
Hurley has been tasked with growing the site’s social network of business owners and senior management teams.
He joins TMG from Crimson Business where he was editor of Growing Business magazine, Growingbusiness.co.uk and Startups.co.uk.
Damian Reece, TMG’s Head of Business, said: “James has a proven track record and wealth of knowledge in the SME sector so we are delighted that he is joining our business team, as it expands and develops.
“James’s focus will primarily be on growing the Telegraph Business Club’s online social network, along with providing insightful and relevant editorial for the weekly Business Club page within The Daily Telegraph.”
