Times titles remain the most popular UK newspaper digital editions

By Dominic Ponsford

The Times titles had the most popular newspaper digital editions in the UK last month, according to figures released by ABC.

The Sunday Times tablet edition was the most popular title in digital format with an average of 89,332 average views per edition across July 2014, followed by The Times with 71,629 for its tablet edition.

Access to the digital editions are included in the cost of subscribing to The Times and Sunday Times online. The next most popular newspaper digital edition online was the the Daily Mirror (Monday to Friday) with 56,452 'active views' a day according to ABC.

The below table details the latest newspaper digital edition figures provided by ABC.

Note: A digital publication, as defined by ABC, is a separate (and largely different) edition from the print one. A digital edition, in ABC speak, is an almost identical digital version of the print newspaper.

Active views is a measure of the number of people actually reading the edition, as measured by ABC. Circulation is the number of subscribers.
