Times sets the record straight on Livingstone funding

By paulmcnally

The Times has issued a clarification over a report on 26 February headlined: “Mayor’s close aide failed to declare position”.

“In our report, we stated that Ken Livingstone requested that Equanomics UK receive £15,000 in taxpayers’ cash,” the paper said.

“We have been asked to make it clear that in April 2007, when he signed an authority for £45,000 to be set aside for community activities, Mr Livingstone was unaware that Equanomics would be involved. We are happy to set the record straight.”
