Third Milton Keynes strike postponed

By Press Gazette

Journalists on the Milton Keynes Citizen have postponed a third session of strike action that was due to begin on Tuesday.

The chapel has warned, however, that it may take further action in the next few weeks over pay.

The union has claimed that Johnston Press has offered a 3 per cent pay rise and is pushing management for 3.5 per cent to reflect increased work loads. Johnston increased it offer from an initial offer of 2.75 per cent.

The chapel has so far taken six days of strike action in relation to the dispute.
