The Publican is expanding its team and is looking for a new editor to strengthen its contacts nationwide.
Current editor Lorna Harrison is to hand over the day-to-day running of the title and take more of an ambassadorial role, concentrating on her other position as editor-in-chief.
Harrison has edited the licensed-trade weekly for eight years and was promoted to editor-in-chief two years ago.
Having a separate editor on board, she said, would enable her to build on her links with readers.
“What I am doing at the moment is a job for two people, and this will give me the opportunity to go out and be seen networking in the industry nationally. The Publican is hugely successful, we are doing a very good job at the moment, but being based in South London we are not always able to see what is happening north of Watford. By expanding the team we will be able to do the job properly.”
