A music magazine aimed at “urban youth” and focusing on R&B, hip-hop and rap is being launched, writes Mary Stevens.
Tense will cover music, fashion, video games, film and sport as well as gossip, interviews and reviews.
It will have a number of celebrity columnists including hip-hop DJ Tim Westwood, R&B DJ Trevor Nelson, fashion designer Walé Adeyemi and controversial broadcaster Paul Mckenzie.
The editor is Toussaint Davy, former editor of Touch magazine. He said: “We felt there was a real need for a magazine to reflect what was going on in the clubs, in the music and the urban lifestyle scene in general. Tense magazine is a monthly snapshot into that world. It’s going to surprise a lot of people.”
