Whatever happened to the old-fashioned journalistic ethos of contacts, contacts, and contacts? I only ask because on the Westminster School Facebook group, I found this:
Graham Tibbetts (London): I’m a journalist on The Daily Telegraph and I’m trying to track down a school photo of Shane MacGowan, who I gather was in Ashburnham House in the early 1970s. Can anyone help please? I can be reached on 020 7931 2522 or 07967 343 420
Is this how journalists are going around their jobs these days? Whatever happened to public school contacts at the Telegraph? By the way, it’s just “Ashburnham”, not “Ashburnham House”.
