Telegraph offers ‘amnesty’ to Guardian’s disappointed Fantasy Footballers

By oliverluft

Telegraph Media Group has today launch an ‘amnesty’by inviting all those who participated in last year’s Guardian Fantasy Football league the chance to join its league for free.

The Guardian is not running a Fantasy Football league this season. A note on its website says a ‘number of factors’led to it taking the decision not to continue with its game this season.

So in the spirit of détente, the Telegraph is offering Guardian’s fantasy footballers the chance to join its league.

TMG issued a statement: ‘This year the Guardian has decided not to run Fantasy Football, and The Telegraph did not want to see any football fans disappointed!

‘So not only can they join the Telegraph’s league but tomorrow they will save £6 and get a team for free.”

There is a small catch, however, the offer is limited to the first 500 entries.
