Sun cartoonist Dave Gaskill has not had his contract renewed but he is thinking over an offer to continue illustrating Richard Littlejohn’s column.
Gaskill has worked for The Sun for the past six-and-a-half years and before that worked for Today for more than eight years. He has also freelanced for the News of the World and The Mail on Sunday.
He has twice been a finalist in the British Press Awards and was named political cartoonist of the year in 2002.

Gaskill said: “My contract has not been renewed but I have been asked to continue with the Littlejohn column, which I am considering.”
