Sun man’s £40k payout after book row

By Press Gazette

Sun sport writer John Sadler has been awarded £41,000 by the High
Court after sueing former Darlington FC chairman George Reynolds.
Sadler successfully argued that Reynolds, a
self-made millionaire, had reneged on an agreement for the Sun
journalist to ghost write his autobiography.
Reynolds was ordered to pay Sadler £35,000, which
was half of an advance offered by Time Warner Books. Sadler was also
given a further £1,000 for loss of opportunity to enhance his
reputation.
